Danika
Danika Stech is a CYT 200 who leads yoga classes at the Lexington Senior Center. She began her practice 15 years ago to help manage stress and found it so helpful, that she had to share the magic. Danika earned her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2016 under Amanda McMane. Directly after graduation, she began teaching yoga at a retirement home, a few yoga studios and gyms. After teaching a variety of participants, Danika found her true passion in working with our aging community and has worked with them ever since. She uses Yoga’s teachings to help all participants maintain the strength and flexibility needed to enjoy a full life! In her classes, you can expect Breathwork, modifications and slow, mindful movement to build confidence in your unique body.
Functional Strength: Building Strength from Within
This detailed class will start small with getting to know our stabilizing muscles and work our way to more grand poses. We will move slowly, deliberately, and with our breath to create an integrated, full-body experience.
Sunset Restorative Yoga
This grounded practice is a treat for all. We will find several yoga poses that allow us to settle in, closer to the earth. You’ll connect with your breath and deeply stretch your muscles as we extend our time in each yoga pose. Followed by a delicious Savasana. Props are welcomed! Bring your bolsters, blocks and blankets.
